This small, luxurious inn offers three classes of rooms, but the East Wing accommodations are where families will gravitate thanks to rooms with a pair of double beds. Upstairs rooms feature window seats and all East Wing guestrooms have private baths and showers, free Wi-Fi and parking. In season, the Outlook has dining onsite at their New Leaf Café serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. During your stay at the Outlook Inn on Orca Island, you will be within walking distance of the quaint village shops and restaurants. This beautiful, serene place is better suited for families with older kids who can entertain themselves and/or take pleasure in the Inn’s main amenity: relaxation.

Stayed for two nights in hill side king. Friendly staff from front desk staff to housekeeping. Room has a great view of the water and just enjoyable to sit out on the deck and relax. Very well appointed room with jacuzzi and walk in shower. Heated towel rack and excellent lotions and soaps. Krueger coffee maker, numerous coffee and tea options, microwave and good size refrigerator. Also have plates, silverware and glasses for two. Can opener and wine opener. Numerous outlets and a power bar for your electronics. Fireplace and separate sitting area and bed area. Parking right outside room. King bed and also hair dryer and alarm clock (one that you can figure out!). TV can be turned to be seen in bed or sitting area. Not a lot of channels but this is Orcas Island. Have a $15 certificate that can be used at restaurant or gift shop if you do not need housing keeping (not good for last day as they take off all bed linens and towels) They have an envelope to tip the housekeepers (I know some people don’t like that but get over it! If you can afford to stay here treat people right.) These housekeepers are at min. wage and if they do a good job they should be rewarded. Will be back next year.

My wife and I usually dont ho the same place twice but our memory of the east sound was about outlook inn as much as anything.
We opted for the suites on the water and glad we did. The direct view of the bay was excellent. Even though the temperature was in the 50s we left the door open all night so we could hear the waves outside our room.
We are big tv watchers and the downside to the suites is the tv is mounted next to the bed not across from it. So we took the mattress and put it on the floor next to the balcony and in front of the fireplace and tv. Now the room was perfect.
As far as the room it was impeccable. The tops of light fixtures and doors had no dust at all. They supposedly spend an hour cleaning each suite and I believe it.
We loved the dual shower heads but cant finish the review without mentioning the soap. Really the soap. Hard to believe unless you used it. The soap, the shampoo, the conditioner and the creme were all incredible. They had a beautiful scent and were silky smooth. Everything is natural in the soap and made locally. The orange scented soap is apparently made just for the outlook inn and not available online...but outlook inn sells it and can ship it.
Staff all the way around was excellent and the property is well maintained despite salty environment.
Wish they had a firepit
