This review is overdue, but important to post. I booked my stay at the last minute, traveled in January 2019. All of the good (and economical) Airbnbs were booked up, so I settled for the Otrobanda due to its "rave" reviews on the location. I can tell you now that the location and "free" parking are the ONLY benefits to this place. I've never described a hotel hallway as disgusting (I'm an avid traveler), but this was officially disgusting. Its a very old building and they've attempted to give the rooms a tiny makeover but its basically just a bandaid. I was terribly disappointed at the quality of the room and glad it was tile. The A/C was noisy, the hot water was a joke, the carpet in the hallways looked like someone had been dragging dirt and mud across it for days. Staff was inattentive at the front desk, to the effect that I felt there must be a huge cultural gap in customer service. I asked about the water pressure and the LACK of hot water in my shower (it was lukewarm at best). They said they couldn't help me, nor could they offer a discount for the lack of quality. The breakfast "buffet" was nothing to be excited about, very minimum standards. The restaurant staff were very kind, I can at least say that. I would highly recommend you spend your dollars somewhere else until they do a complete renovation. Curacao is working hard to change its atmosphere downtown, to give it a facelift. Your best bet will be Airbnbs until the hotels can improve.

Pros:
* Close to the shopping area
* Friendly Staff
* Good for if you are on a budget
* The Maintenance Crew are on point they fixed our AC without us even telling them
* Really Unique room
Cons:
They need to ensure the food is fresh (had a fungus in one of my desert items for breakfast)
They need to ensure that all garbage in the room is taken care off as my wife and I found food in the ice bucket.
Certain parts of the room need some painting and maintenance.
All Inclusive package needed.
In all my wife and I was just staying there 1 night as we just came back from a cruise so this really short stay in our opinion was average and enough.
