We booked for a 2 day stay. Hotel check in is at 2pm, we arrived at midday, and asked if it was possible to check in. The man at reception offered us to sit down for half an hour and our rom would be ready. We decided to go and have lunch in the mean time in one of the nearby restaurants. When we came back an hour later, they told us that people checked out late and the room was still not ready. So we had no chance to have a shower and change before going on sightseeing, as we only had a day and half in the city. There was a slight compensation that when we came back in the evening, they offered us complimentary tea with cake. We had a family room, but the settee/extra bed was uncomfortable, so we slept all 3 in the double bed . The room was very clean, well stocked even with slippers and the bathroom was very good, with a bath and good warm shower. The room was very quiet even with the window open, and good size. Receptionist was helpful but not overly friendly and tried a bit of a hard sell on the overpriced tours. Breakfast was slightly disappointing as despite a huge selection we struggled to find something we liked, be it pancakes or omelette. The eggs were all hard boiled.
Despite the downsides, I would not hesitate to stay in the same hotel again, because of the great location and overall value for money.
