Tucked into the Shockoe Slip district with dramatic views overlooking the scenic James River, the Omni Richmond Hotel sits just six minutes to the Virginia State Capitol (worth a tour), seven minutes to the Richmond Canal Walk, five minutes to Carytown and seven minutes to the Fan District. The Omni is also a mere 8 miles to the Richmond International Airport.
The Omni’s lux guestrooms feature a large flat-screen, spacious granite counter bathrooms, and incredibly comfy beds. Premiere rooms sit on the 18th and 19th floors assuring a rockin’ Richmond view and access to the Club Lounge with a continental breakfast with a hot breakfast item each morning and complimentary beer and wine and lavish hors d’oeuvres in evening. (Nothing wrong with taking a glass of vino back to your room.)
The Omni’s restaurant, Trevi’s Grille, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in an upscale, yet relaxed dining spot. Trevi’s bar serving great drinks and small plates and Trevi’s Market is perfect for grabbing pizza by the slice, a sandwich and chips or dessert for easy take-out.
The Omni Sensational Kids program gives kids a backpack with fun health themed games encouraging smart eating while on a family trip. The backpack comes with an activity book, a twisty straw, memory match-up cards, and crayons. Kids also receive milk and cookies delivered to their guestroom on your first night. But kids will really go bananas for the Omni’s indoor pool. Sitting under a beautiful atrium with pool toys and floats, pool towels, chaise lounges and an outdoor sun deck, the pool ensures your kids will be exhausted!
Connected to the Omni’s lobby is a lovely small mall (Three James Center) with unique fountains and potted flowers all canopied by an enormous atrium. Within the mall is an upscale Arbys, a great gift shop called Very Richmond, and an exceptional YMCA fitness center that is complimentary to Omni guests (located on the 3rd floor of the James Center).
Plan to join Omni’s Select Guest Loyalty program to receive nice traveling benefits including a morning beverage delivery, the pressing of two items of clothing, and free Wi-Fi.

I stayed at this lovely hotel while my sister was in Richmond for business. The free shuttle that will drive you within 5 miles of the hotel was fantastic...I was able to see all the sites. They have an indoor heated pool and a lovely outside deck with comfortable chairs to relax. It was also very handy to have StarBucks, Pitt & Peel & an Arby’s on site as well as other wonderful restaurants and cafes within an easy walk. The staff were always friendly & helpful. The rooms clean and the beds were exceptionally comfortable!

My daughter and I were in town for a wedding. The hotel has a great location, walking distance to many eateries and sights. The free drinks for Omni members was nice, the Starbucks in the lobby was being remodeled so we used the Starbucks stand in the atrium. We used the indoor pool several times, the pool area is quite nice and we had the pool to ourselves. We had breakfast in the restaurant, it was a bit on the pricey side but the food and service were good. One of the elevators had a squeaky door and my daughter complained that it kept her awake at night. The water pressure for the bathroom sink was very low. We used the valet service multiple times and it was fine. The staff at the Omni was very friendly. Overall we had a very good stay.
