Let’s start with some bragging rights: if your family is crazy for the Cowboys and you stay at the Omni Frisco, you’re going to earn some major points. Designed by the family of Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones, you’ll notice subtle and not-so-subtle Cowboys touches throughout the rooms, hallways and lobby areas. Jones’ daughter Charlotte has hand-selected all of the items in the upscale gift shop. And probably the best part: the hotel is connected by walkway to the Cowboys’ practice facility, which also hosts area high school football games.
Kids who love football will enjoy tossing a ball around on Tostitos Championship Plaza and walking around The Star. But the hotel is more suited for older kids than younger ones. The onsite restaurant, Neighborhood Services, doesn’t offer a kids’ menu, for example. It skews more toward upscale than family friendly, though families don’t shy away from bringing their kids – particularly if they’re into football.
