Overview

Saint Ignace sits at the southern tip of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the first town visitors reach after traveling over the fames Mackinac Bridge. It is also the gateway to the time capsule natural wonder of Mackinac Island at the intersection of two Great Lakes. Families choosing the Northernaire will want to book the handsome, woodsy knotty pine rooms with a queen and a full bed, a couple of chairs, refrigerator, cable TV and air-conditioning/heating units. This is a basic, no frills roadside motel ideal not for longer stays but as a means to break up a drive without breaking the bank. There is no pool or free breakfast, outdoor bonfires or any of the extra fun amenities offered at competing hotels and motels but the rooms are clean and cozy, the Wi-Fi free and the parking at your door.

Andy and Sherri run a clean, well kept motel. It was a great location to local restaurants and other attractions. It had everything I needed to make my travels complete. They even provided me with a $10 comp to the local casino.

My husband and I are here now. We checked in for a 3 day stay. Very happy to have found this place. The owner is so very friendly. He goes out of his way to make you feel like a guest in “his” home. The room is very clean. Nicely decorated. Not fancy but very comfortable. Has everything we need. The king sized bed is very comfortable.we will certainly stay here again.
