The Normandale Century Inn is a quaint historic inn that provides charming accommodations with its four guestrooms. Built in 1875, the Inn functioned as a general store until 1996 when it was developed into an inn and restaurant. The onsite restaurant by the same name offers a menu of country cuisine and has a spacious outdoor patio. The Inn also has a café with an ice cream parlor that serves specialty coffees, milkshakes, sundaes, baked goods, and other local snacks. Families will enjoy a stay in the Normandale Room, which sleeps up to four guests with a queen bed and double pullout sofa bed. All reservations include a complimentary continental breakfast.

We were hoping to stay in Port Dover but had some trouble finding a place. The Normandale Inn came up and since it was only about 20 minutes away we decided to give it a try. We called to reserve our room. We came on a Friday night and had a bit of trouble finding it, but after calling the Inn we found we were actually close by. We checked in and were given a menu to choose from for our breakfast the next day. We were then led up to our room, the Normandale on the second floor. Very cozy room with an ensuite. Bathroom very clean and updated. They are on well water and so there was a note about water pressure and quality. We didn't have any issues except for water for drinking purposes as it was a bit cloudy. There was a water cooler outside of our room which we used for drinking. Room was very clean and bed was comfy. We had a t.v. that worked fine. The only issue with the room was the slanted ceiling. Hit my head more than a few times, even when trying to keep my head low. :) Breakfast was very good and as we ordered. View from the dining room was lovely. Many birds, squirrels and chipmunks to keep us amused. Our host was lovely. Very peaceful place. Would probably stay again.

On a beautiful late September day we visited this restaurant with friends and we were accommodated outside. A great menu selection to review and each of us had something different . Service was excellent and the meals good. Will revisit again
