The hotel is centrally located is a fun area of Norfolk. Our room was very nice. It seems like it was recently renovated. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The downside was, after checking in, we noticed a 100 or so high school students wandering around. We asked one girl what was going on and she said that theater students from across Virginia were here for a conference. Then, rather proudly, she told us that last year 5 people staying at the hotel checked out early due to the noise they made. We felt kind of doomed to a night of little sleep. By 2AM the noise subsided enough that we could get some undisturbed sleep. I wish the hotel had done a better job at blocking out floors for the students and tried to isolate the other guests from the noise. It would have made for a better experience.

Should have stayed in the overflow hotel like I usually do but I did not want to walk a few blocks for those early and late meetings.

Hotel under construction, barely room temperature water in the shower, have to go two floors up or down to find a working ice machine... excuse my mess... some sort of perk should have been given like free bottles of water, something other than I am sorry.

Ask for a housekeeper to come assist with an issue in the bathroom and she arrives to say n English and can't help you.. WTF?
