Quaint, romantic, cozy and charming are only some of the adjectives that come to mind. I highly recommend this boutique hotel to everyone. It is well situated between major cities and close by to all amenities.

We stayed one night in the Romeo and Juliet Suite in early October 2019. We liked the comfortable bed, the spacious kitchen and the excellent location - close to the water and to shops and restaurants in Brockville. We also liked the fact that the owner sent us welcome e-mail messages during the period leading up to our stay.
However, there were some areas where it fell short of its claim to being a luxury property. The bright red shag carpet in the foyer and on the stairs give it a tired look. There didn’t appear to be a working light above the first flight of stairs making for a risky climb, since the stairs were steep. The self-check in/out with cameras monitoring the entrance seemed odd.
The window air conditioner was held in place by a brown board and box strapping tape. The level of cleanliness in the bathroom and especially the shower stall could be improved (sticky floor, mould on the grout, and a dirty flex blade below the shower door).
The bedroom is an interior room and does not have a window – a first for us in many years of staying in hotels and B&Bs. The pictures convey the appearance of a window by framing a painting with some window trim. We had to keep the bedroom door open to get some A/C. The wi-fi was weak and sluggish, confirmed by readings from a WiFi Analyzer app.
