My first review for this holiday disappeared so I'm hoping this review is actually posted.
We stayed here from 19/10 - 26/10. Room is huge, loads of room for a family of 4 with a well equipped kitchen. Pool is lovely.
We did have a few issues though.
On arrival the dishwasher wasn't working. This was resolved pretty quickly - and one lovely lady washed our dishes for us when we were stuck so huge thanks to her.
Our lovely weeks was ruined by cockroaches. We used to live in Bermuda so we accept one or two is just life in a tropical climate. However, after finding a couple we asked reception to spray the room. We then found more both dead and alive. We then sprayed the room from top to bottom ourselves. On awakening the following morning we found 13 on the floor - a mixture of dead and alive and in all rooms.
We spoke to reception again. They then called pest control who came out and sprayed the room with more potent chemicals.
However, once again, we found more cockroaches.
The kids slept with a bed sheet over their faces and refused to get up to go to the toilet at night as they didn't want to be faced with roaches in the night. I don't blame them.
We all slept in rooms thick with chemical fumes.
I didn't think the hotel dealt with this at all well. They should have offered a new room. The rooms should have been deep cleaned after the first complaint- all furniture pulled out etc.
i cant begin to explain how this impacted our stay. It affected our sleep. Kids were very happy to check out and leave. They had had enough. Everything (shoes, bags) was lifted off the floor for fear of roaches crawling inside!

This hotel lacks the level of service required for the price it charges. It caters more to its time share and long term guests and lacks a hotel feel. It is more of an apartment complex.
Most disappointing is that, despite the fact that when checking in I was required to sign a “no parties” contract, loud parties occurred each night in rooms. When we complained, the young lady working the front desk Sunday night informed us that, in the off season, they rent out rooms to locals for birthday parties. When we asked to change rooms because we had an early flight in the morning, she seemed annoyed that we were complaining and declined.
I also found it weird that we were not eligible for the hotel’s airport shuttle because we booked through hotels.com. When we asked them to call us a metered cab to the airport, they called their shuttle and charged us a flat rate of $50.
We did enjoy the room which was large and had a beautiful view.
