Wildwood, N.J., one of Family Vacation Critic’s favorite beach areas, is providing monster truck rides on the beach this summer, the only East Coast beach to do so.
Monster Truck Rides on the Beach provides a beach course with hills, dips and turns all on sand. Guests can ride one of two eight-seater monster trucks: AmeriCrush and ZombieCrusher. Both trucks are jacked up on 5-foot tires. Riders are secured by harnesses and belts, and have a chance to stop on the route for a photo op.
Rides are available daily, weather permitting. Visit 4101 Boardwalk and Youngs Avenue.
For those not daring enough to ride but still wanting to check out Monster Trucks on the Beach, Wildwood is hosting the Nationals event this September 26 to 28. Monster trucks will be competing to become King of the Beach all weekend.
