The world’s leading mountain resort operator, Vail Resorts, will take over Stowe Mountain Resort in Vermont for $50 million. The transaction is pending Vermont administrative review.
Stowe Mountain Resort will continue to operate as such for the remainder of the 2016-17 ski season. Vail Resorts plans to integrate Stowe Mountain Resorts into its Epic Pass and other season pass offerings for the 2017-18 ski season, subject to closing. With the Epic Pass, skiers and boarders will have unlimited access to the resort, along with the other resorts in the collection, including Breckenridge and Vail in Colorado, Park City in Utah, and Whistler in Canada.
