Universal Studios Hollywood turns 50 this year, and to celebrate the milestone has announced new rides and attractions at its theme park. One of the largest expansions and attractions will be the animated town of Springfield, as in “The Simpsons” fame.
“Springfield” will be a colorful replica of the fictitous and animated town straight out of “The Simpsons,” the longest-running animated comedy. Designed around the current “Simpsons Ride,” Springfield will feature Fast Food Boulevard featuring signature eateries like Moe’s Tavern, Krusty Burger and Lard Lad Donuts. Visitors will even find Duff Brewery, serving a special brew exclusively for Universal.
The new Springfield is slated to open at Universal Studios Hollywood this spring.
