Aquatica, SeaWorld’s water park in Orlando, is the first water park in the world to become a certified autism center.
The park’s staff have successfully completed autism sensitivity and awareness training with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).
The news follows a string of similar industry initiatives within the past year: in November, the Georgia Aquarium announced that it was the world’s first aquarium to become a certified autism center. In April, 2018, Sesame Place became the world’s first theme park to hold the same honor.
