As the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters, a new exhibition arrives in New York City to bring fans closer to the characters created by George Lucas.
“Star Wars and the Power of Costume” will be showcased at the Discovery Times Square museum. The exhibit will showcase more than 70 costumes from the first six “Star Wars” films, include C-3PO’s golden robotic suit, the iron slave bikini worn by Princess Leia, and the black iconic mask of Darth Vader, as well as seven new costumes that will appear in the new film.
The exhibition launches on Nov. 14 and runs through Sept. 5, 2016. Reserved timed tickets are now available online, with visitors given a 30-minute arrival window during the museum’s operating hours. Discovery Times Square opens daily at 10 a.m., closing at 7 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 p.m. Friday and Saturdays. The last entry is 45 minutes prior to close.
