SeaWorld San Diego will open its largest attraction in its history in 2017. The new three-acre attraction, Ocean Explorer, will combine multiple aquariums and add new rides and technologies to engage guests.
Ocean Exploer will feature three all-new immersive experiences: an interactive Submarine Quest, a new Orca Encounter featuring killer whales’ natural behaviors, and Electric Ocean’s nighttime light show. The heart of Ocean Explorer will be undersea research pods with enriching educational displays. For family fun, a new wave swinger ride will fly guests through real bubble in chairs suspended from the tentacles of a giant jelly fish. Three additional family-friendly rides will be added, as well.
The multi-million attraction at SeaWorld San Diego is scheduled to open for summer 2017 season.
