One of the most iconic landmarks in the world is getting an overhaul.
Seattle’s Space Needle is undergoing extensive renovations, with new improvements including an outdoor observation deck with glass benches; an ADA lift; and a restaurant with the world’s first rotating-floor observation deck!
Other enhancements include better views of the city, thanks to the addition of glass panels, and an updated, circular stairway.
All visitor enhancements will be complete by Memorial Day, 2018, with the remainder of the updates (modernizing elevators, for example) continuing over the next few years.
