Downtown Los Angeles is expanding its accommodation offerings to visitors of the West Coast with four new hotels slated to open in 2017. The new hotels will bring more than 1,700 guest rooms and suites for visitors to Los Angeles.
Freehand Los Angeles. This hostel-style hotel, with locations currently in Miami and Chicago, arrives in Downtown Los Angeles in early 2017. The hotel will feature 226 rooms, a rooftop bar and onsite dining at its 8th Street and Olive Street location.
InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. The $1.1-billion new InterContinental property will become the tallest building west of the Mississippi when it opens this spring. The skyscraper hotel will be located at the Wilshire Grand Center with a 70th floor lobby and 900 guest rooms.
Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown. The anchor of a $1-billion mixed-use complex opening in Downtown L.A. Metropolis will be InterContinental’s Hotel Indigo brand. The 350-room hotel will stand 18 stories.
NoMad Hotel. The hip New York NoMad will recreate its east coast hotel on the west coast this winter with its new 250-room hotel. The hotel will take over Downtown’s Giannini Place, originally built in 1923, and offer guests a rooftop pool above its 12 stories.
