LEGOLAND California Resort will be adding new features and attractions for the 2017 season. The plans include new rooms at the hotel, expansion of the water park and new additions to the Miniland areas.
The expansion of LEGOLAND Water Park will be known as Surfer’s Bay. Opening for summer 2017, the new area will be geared toward little kids and provide a mat race down one of six water slides. The new area of the park will also feature a splash play area and new LEGO models.
At the LEGOLAND Hotel, NINJAGO becomes a feature with 20 rooms and suites themed to represent the popular NINJAGO series. The NINJAGO rooms are replacing the kingdom-themed rooms, which will be moving to a new LEGO Castle-themed hotel that will open in 2018. The new hotel will offer 250 rooms, a pool and a restaurant, all with castle decor. Groundbreaking of the new property will begin in 2017.
Finally, the new LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Miniland will open at LEGOLAND California in March, just in time for the LEGO Star Wars Days on March 4 and 5, 2017. The new mainland will feature characters and scenes from the latest Star Wars movie.
