Created by InterContinental Hotels Group, EVEN Hotels has officially launched with the opening of two properties in Norwalk, Ct. and Rockville, Md. The new brand, designed for wellness-minded travelers, offers fitness rooms, athletic studios (for classes), in-room training zones and health advice.
The brand aims to attract business travelers, though families (specifically those with infants or teenagers) might be drawn to the hotel’s traditional amenities, which include free Wi-Fi and mini-refrigerators in guestrooms and suites, along with playpens, booster seats and high chairs upon request. Each property offers an XBOX One in the Flex Room (where fitness classes also take place), too.
In place of conventional onsite restaurants, healthy grab-and-go items are also on offer, a benefit for families with impatient eaters, or those who simply have busy days planned. The affordability of nightly rates, along with discounted deals, appeals to families, as well; rates at EVEN Hotels Norwalk start at just $128 per night, for example.
InterContinental Hotel Group, which also owns Staybridge Suites and Holiday Inn, expects to open two locations in New York City next year.
