The Lone Star State is making history as it makes way for its first indoor ski facility in North Texas, as well as its first Hard Rock Hotel, to be located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Breaking ground in January 2015, the Hard Rock Hotel Dallas-Fort Worth will feature 300 rooms, a rooftop pool complex, onsite dining and an indoor ski facility, which will serve as the highlight of a new 58-acre entertainment complex called Grand Alps Village. The new 350,000-square-foot, year-round ski facility will bring skiing to north Texas in the city of Grand Prairie, Texas. The new village is expected to cost $400 million, with phase one of the project the construction of the Hard Rock Hotel, the ski facility and a movie theater.
Grand Alps Village will continue to grow with an entertainment village and an additional 300-room condo hotel.
