The Hamptons remain one of the most popular summer destinations for families, and in Montauk, N.Y., an iconic hotel reappears for the season with a brand new look.
The Ocean Beach Resort, which has been a fixture on the Montauk coastline for more than 30 years, debuts this month as the new Montauk Blue Hotel. The hotel’s 82 rooms feature ocean view decks or terraces, sofa beds, dining areas, small refrigerators, microwaves, and flat-screen TV’s. The new look is a soothing palette of ocean and sand toned interiors, and bright cobalt blue splashes of color combined with a cool blue on the exterior of the four lodge-style buildings. A sun deck with chaise lounges is perched atop the dunes, and is situated near a pool with outdoor dining. Nightly bonfires, daily activities on the beach, and a reading library provide more options for families. The hotel is also located just steps from Montauk’s town center.
Rates begin at $299 per room for the summer season.
