Mexico’s Riviera Maya is filled with all-inclusive, family-friendly resorts, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for more. Hard Rock Hotels just opened its own all-inclusive resort in the area, offering a special kids-stay-free promotion for summer.

The extra-large resort provides 1,264 rooms and lots of fun for families, including the Little Big Club kids’ club, a teen lounge and disco (on its way), pools, a white-sand beach, complimentary kayaks and bicycles, tennis, rock climbing, kids’ pool, family pool and more. The Little Big Club features many characters kids love, including Angelina Ballerina’s Dance Studio, Barney’s Music Room, Thomas & Friends Activity Depot and Bob the Builder Construction Zone. Kids play games and play with supervision, with a special live rock band stage show during the evening.

A number of room options are available, including Deluxe Family suites that accommodate up to six with two connecting rooms with one king and two double beds. The rooms are outfitted with DVD players, Xbox 360, kid-friendly snacks and drinks, kids’ bath products, and come with a Sun Bucket Kit for the kids. Even room service is kid-friendly with a special menu, just for little ones.

All rooms receive complimentary Wi-Fi and feature flatscreen TV’s, adult mini bars and private balconies. Eight onsite restaurants are available to families, in addition to four adult-only restaurants for date nights sans kids.

The Kids Stay Free promotion is available for bookings June 1 through August 31, 2014, for stays of three nights or more and one paying adult per child.
