Construction is officially underway for Kimpton Hotels and Resorts‘ first property in the Caribbean, according to the Caribbean Journal.
Situated along Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman, it’s also the first new project the area has seen in a decade.
The new hotel — expected to open in 2016 — will offer 263 guestrooms and 56 residences, along with five restaurants and a full-service spa. It will also offer the chain’s traditional amenities, such as Kimpton Kids, which offers kids’ menus, child-size bathrobes, babysitting services and more.
