Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Horizon, was unveiled at SeaTrade this week. The new ship, which will cruise in Europe in April of 2018, will feature the cruise line’s debut its Dr. Seuss-themed water park.
The Dr. Seuss WaterWorks water park will feature a 450-foot Cat in the Hat raft slide, as well as a 213-foot enclosed body slide with special lighting effects themed after Thing 1 and Thing 2. A kiddie splash playground will feature a 150-galloon tipping hat, and all areas will feature whimsical colors and character images. The new water park coincides with Carnival’s partnership with Dr. Seuss, which includes a character Green Eggs and Ham breakfast, Seuss-a-palooza parade, and story time at Dr. Seuss Bookville.
“Dr. Seuss is an iconic American brand and we’re delighted to expand our partnership with this incredible top-deck water attraction four our guests, said Carnival President Christine Duffy.
Carnival Horizon will accommodate nearly 4,000 passengers and will debut on April 2, 2018. Dr. Seuss WaterWorks will be found on the ship’s 12th floor top deck.
