San Antonio welcomed a new attraction over the weekend, this one especially for the kids: The DoSeum.
As its name implies, the DoSeum inspires children to discover by doing. Sixty percent of the new museum’s exhibits focus on science, technology, engineering and math, inspiring kids to discover, explore, create and learn. Six main exhibit areas in the 104,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor space include Sensations Studio, Explore, Innovation Station, Image It, Little Town and Spy Academy. The museum also features a puppet parade controlled by children’s body movements, a musical staircase, and a state-of-the-art robot named Baxter. Outdoor play space is heavily shaded and features an ADA-accessible treehouse.
The DoSeum will be open in San Antonio during the summer from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and opening at 9 a.m. on Saturdays and noon on Sunday. The museum provides free parking and an onsite cafe for snacks and meals.
