On Sept. 27, 2014, the long-lived Studio Backlot Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will close. It has operated since 1989.
The change will allow Disney World to offer new experiences, expected to include ‘Frozen’ festivities during the winter holiday season. However, Pixar is also rumored to be part of the new area, according to Behind the Thrills.
Disney World recently announced it would also close Maelstrom in Epcot to make room for a new ‘Frozen’ attraction, expected to debut in 2016.
