Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wonder ships will receive new enhancements for its fall sailings, including a unique Marvel comics experience, a restaurant themed after “The Princess and the Frog” and a new adult district.
Coming soon for kids to enjoy, Disney Wonder will exclusively offer Marvel Super Hero Academy. The Marvel Universe comes to life with missions like Spider-Man appearing in person to help children hone their spidey senses. For younger children, more fun will be found in in Disney’s Oceaneer Club with Frozen Adventures, Club Disney Junior and Andy’s Room. Kids will experience more live and in-person interactions, including special visits from Anna, Elsa, Doc McStuffins, Jessie and Woody.
In dining, the new Tiana’s Place Restaurant, also exclusive to the Disney Wonder, will transport guests to an era of southern charm, spirited jazz and street party celebrations, just as the Disney movie, “The Princess and the Frog” had done following its release. The menu will be influenced by southern-style cuisine.
For parents, a brand new adult district will be featured on the ship, anchored by an authentic English Pub. “After Hours” district will also feature an all-new nightclub, a renovated Cadillac Lounge, and the new tavern, decorated with subtle Disney throwbacks to classic Disney films set in London.
Disney Wonder will be dry dock Sept. 9 to Oct. 23, 2016 to add the new features and refresh the ship, and debut its new offerings on sailing out of Galveston, Texas, on Nov. 10, 2016.
