Walt Disney Co. is considering creating a surge-pricing structure for its theme parks in Orlando and Anaheim, California, which would raise prices during peak travel, and lower prices for off-peak seasons.
Disney surveyed its annual pass holders on the notion, which suggested a Gold, Silver and Bronze pricing structure. Gold would allow visitors to use tickets on any date and would be the most expensive of the ticket options, with Bronze being the cheapest option and having more restrictions.
Disney has not made any decisions on whether it will move forward with the surge pricing or not, and which parks would follow the structure, if adopted.
