As developers continue to bring new hotels and offerings to Daytona Beach, Florida, in an effort to revitalize and bring a bit of luxury back to the central Florida coastline, Starwood has announced it will open a new beach resort in the summer of 2017. The Westin Daytona Beach Resort & Spa is slated to open in July.
The new Daytona Beach resort will rest on 500 feet of private beach and will offer families a selection of 200 guest rooms. An oceanfront pool and a 5,000-square-foot spa will be available, along with onsite dining in an indoor/outdoor restaurant overlooking the beach. The new resort takes the place of a former beachfront resort that Starwood bought and invested $20-million into to gut and transform into a dramatic new Westin property. The resort is located within walking distance of Daytona’s Boardwalk.
