Three of Colorado’s biggest and best family-friendly ski mountains have officially kicked off the 2015-16 ski season.
Vail Mountain opened its 1,150-acre resort on Nov. 20, debuting the new Avanti Express six-passenger chairlift and expanding with Game Creel Bowl and Northwoods.
Purgatory Resort opened for its 50th season on Nov. 21. The resort is introducing its high-speed detachable quad chairlift on the backside of the mountain, three new trails, and new snowmaking at the bottom of Lift 8.
Beaver Creek Resort opened its 720-acre resort on Nov. 25.
