Cancel Bay Resort in St. John, U.S.V.I., reopens for its 60th season with new guest rooms, menus, special events and more.
The first phase of Caneel Bay’s renovations reveals 23 newly design beachfront cottages on Scot and Paradise Beaches. Phase two of the renovations will include Laurance Rockefeller’s former vacation house, Cottage 7, locates on a private bluff.
To celebrate the Diamond Anniversary on December 4, the resort will host a special celebration weekend Dec. 1 through Dec. 5, 2016. The event includes anniversary tree planing ceremony, a specially commissioned 60th anniversary “Caneel Bay & the Legacy of Laurance S. Rockefeller” book signing, special themed dinner with live Calypso band, and a shipwrecked-themed beach BBQ. Also, stay for five nights at the hotel between now and Dec. 17, 2016, and receive the fifth night for just $60.
