Hawks Cay Resort is back in business.

An iconic destination resort in the Florida Keys, Hawks Cay closed after sustaining severe damages during the 2017 hurricane season. Nearly one year and $50-million in renovations later, the beloved family resort has reopened.

The reimagined hotel has introduced a brand-new lobby and public spaces, 177 renovated guestrooms, and two new restaurant concepts. The resort has also expanded and revamped its adults-only area, which includes the original Tranquility Pool.

Speaking of pools, the resort has a total of six — including the Pirate Ship Pool, which offers waterslides, water cannons, and shallow areas for new swimmers.

Other family-friendly features that remain: Dolphin Connection, where guests interact with adorable bottlenose dolphins; water sports including kiteboarding, diving and fishing charters; and our favorite, the Camp Hawk Environmental Education Academy. Camp activities include field trips through the mangroves on Duck Key; exploring the local ecosystem; interacting with local creatures, including Tarpon and iguanas (!); and nighttime stargazing.

Want to visit? Hawks Cay Resort is offering 10-percent off stays booked by Oct. 31, 2018. Visit Hawks Cay Resort for more information.
