South Florida’s B Ocean Resort in Fort Lauderdale has completed multi-million renovations to transform its 484 guest rooms, suites and resort into a “like new” property. Formerly the iconic Yankee Clipper hotel, which resembled a ship, the beachfront hotel served as a hotspot for celebrities in the 50s and 60s. In an effort to return the hotel to its grandeur, B Hotels & Resorts has relaunched the property with a new contemporary design and new services and amenities.
The beachfront B Ocean Resort’s 484 guest rooms and suites, ranging in size from 300 to 1,700 square feet, have a new palette of ocean hues with a “coastal chic vibe.” Rooms are outfitted with 55-inch HD flat-screen TVs, mini fridges, AVEDA bath products, and private balconies for most rooms. Renovations were also completed in the lobby, meeting space, restaurants and outdoor space. Guests will find two outdoor infinity-edge swimming pools, a private beach, 24-hour fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The hotel’s original Wreck Bar, which resembled an underwater shipwreck with portholes looking into the renowned mermaid show continues under celebrity chef Ralph Pagano, who also manages the hotel’s Naked Crab, Salty Siren and The Clipper grab-n-go food concepts.
