Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina on the Bahamas’ island of Abaco has revamped its children’s program to teach visitors about the life of Bahamian children.
“Bahama Buddies,” developed for children ages 3 to 12, provides an experience for international children to learn about life in the islands. Activities include island fishing, conch diving, Junkanoo island dance, kayaking, water sports, and arts and crafts – with a twist. Children have the chance to meet and interact with resident children to learn about land and water experiences, and make friends with islanders.
Bahama Buddies at Abaco Beach Resort is offered on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at a cost of $30 per child, per day. The cost includes programs, lunch and a Bahama Buddies T-shirt.
