If your family travels include your beloved pooch or purr-fect cat, you may be limited on vacation choices. A cruise, for example, is off the books. Or is it? Not if you set sail aboard the remastered luxury liner, the Queen Mary 2. The only cruise liner to carry dogs and cats with a dedicated kennel and Kennel Master, the Queen Mary 2 provides Transatlantic cruises between New York and England.

The Queen Mary 2, operated by Cunard, features activities like a planetarium and play zones for children grouped into ages: 2 to 7, 8 to 12, and 13 to 17 in a special Teen program that includes deck sports and dance parties. A Night Nursery is offered, at no cost, for infants ages 6 months to 23 months from 6 to 11 p.m., providing parents an opportunity to enjoy dinner and a show while little ones sleep under the care of professional nannies.

The Queen Mary 2 will sail into Boston and Halifax July 1 to 6, travel to Norwegian Fjords from July 13 to 21, and cross the Atlantic from July 21 to August 4. Cruises begin at $899 per person. The kennel offering is only available on Transatlantic cruises, with 12 kennels, indoor and outdoor walking areas, and a Kennel Master who feeds, walks and cleans the pets.
