Dating back to 1901, this inn was a former mill on downtown Napa’s riverfront. Converting into a hotel in the 1990s, the hotel features evening wine hours, bicycles to borrow, Wi-Fi, complimentary rides to town, free parking and a full-service day spa. Pets are welcome in the hotel that spans three buildings along the waterfront. The Embarcadero and Plaza Buildings provides deluxe, king and double rooms, while the Historic Building provides deluxe and Captain Hatt’s Suite. Many of the rooms feature fireplaces. The inn is connected to and within walking distance to a series of local restaurants, as well as 20 tasting rooms in downtown Napa.

My husband and I could not stop raving about this hotel. From check-in with a complimentary glass of wine to check out with a parting gift, we had an amazing experience. We were in the area when the Kincade fire was raging and had to cancel our trip to Healdsburg last-minute. NRI was able to accommodate us an extra day very smoothly. This is not the most modern or fanciest hotel I have stayed at, but the attention to detail gives it a wow factor. I would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful experience for us! My daughter and I visited for a few days to celebrate her 30th birthday. The location just cannot be beat, and the staff are both nice and professional. Sara Mueller, the Front Office Manager, scheduled everything from our pick up at the airport to our spa visits, the Platypus Napa Wine Tour and the Wine Train. We are sorry we didn't have the pleasure of meeting her while we were there. Our room was really nice, as was the rest of the hotel. We ate at Celadon at the hotel, and it was wonderful as well. We have nothing but praise for the Napa River Inn!
