Formerly Hotel 1333, Marriott took over this property and made it into one of its new MOXY brand hotels, aimed at a younger market. The 186-room hotel provides cruiser bikes to its guests and a lively outdoor swimming pool. Guests can choose from standard rooms with a king or two queen beds to suites with a king bed and sofa bed. Patio rooms and suites walkout to the heated swimming pool. All rooms feature 49-inch flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Complimentary breakfast buffets are served daily in the hotel’s Three restaurant, which is also open for dinner service. Free area and airport shuttle service is also available, as is parking. A game room with pool table and library offer a place to relax at the end of the day.

Stayed here while in town for a wedding from a Thursday to Sunday, review below!
Location: Very close to ASU’s campus which for us didn’t matter but others it might. Ubers and Lyfts were easy to get, a handful of walkable restaurants as well. If you do park a car, it’s $9/night.
Staff: Everyone we talked with at the front desk/bar was super friendly and nice. House keeping was good as well.
Rooms: Rooms were large with fun decor but lots of empty space and not a lot of storage for clothes. Like another review on here, one of our pillows had dried blood on it. The other weird thing was, our bathroom outlets didn’t work. We did call it in and no one came to look at it, instead we had to request an extension cord that ran from the room into the bathroom, it was a bit annoying to have this. I saw a lot of people wrote about the loud AC, they are wall units but we didn’t find it obnoxiously loud.
Pool: Really nice pool with lots of lounge chairs and floaties.
Overall: Wasn’t great but wasn’t bad, would stay again if needed.

What a swanky little hotel this is. They are clearly making an effort to offer a new take on the hotel experience. Everything has a modern feel, very simplistic. The Lobby is nice with games to enjoy and a fun vibe. You have to check in at the Bar, but that includes a complimentary cocktail.
No fridge or microwave in the room but my understanding is that you may request them. Shower was nice and large, however water pressure was really pitiful. We parked near door 3 and there was a bad smell in that part of the building, but no smell was present near or in our room. Room was simple, but nicely put together. Furnishings included a pretty comfortable bed, couch, desk and chair, and some eclectic lighting fixtures.
Overall kind of felt like a new hipper hotel was built over the top of an run down one. There are several spots in the floor and hallways where the floor was uneven and need of a repair. Left the do not disturb sign on the door, however housekeeping still came in, they took my towel and did not leave a clean one in it’s place.
Overall pleased with my experience, I would give them another chance to earn my future business.
Final observation is the place is really young and hip, I feel the MOXY is missing it’s target demo. The hip vibe appeals to students of ASU which it is basically part of the campus. I feel the target demo is parents of those ASU students, they should look into how to draw that clientele, specifically how can they make parents in town for a visit more comfortable. I think right now The MOXY is a place I would have thrown a hotel party at when I was still in my early 20’s.
