Reasonable rates, comfortable rooms, and no are what you’ll find at Mountain View Lodge, which is conveniently located between Mt. St. Helen and Mt. Rainier. The town of Packwood has an outdoorsy “pioneer” vibe to it, with a general store and several restaurants nearby. In the mornings there’s a small breakfast bar, and some cottage/cabin units include a kitchenette if you’d like to do some of your own cooking. Both owners are welcoming and helpful, happy to assist with whatever questions you have and supply whatever you need for your comfort. Although you cannot see Mt. Rainier from the hotel, it’s very nearby.

Great place. Highly recommended.

Stayed for 3 nights as Packwood area good access to Mt St Helens and Mt Rainier. Owners are lovely folk, very happy to help and give info on walks on map. Our room was king-size, with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and a kettle. Small bathroom with separate sink area. Double glazed so noise from main road at front was minimal. Lots of fresh towels, toiletries provided, bed remade every day and bins emptied. Breakfast was juice, coffee, water, cereals, porridge, bagels, jam, hard boiled eggs, pastries, bananas, yoghurts. Help yourself in reception area. Well looked after place, with great owners. Highly recommended. Anne & Chris.

Nice property but beware the ramp!

Not a lot of choices this close to the Park, but this one was fine. Single rooms on back of main building, second floor, require a walk up a very steep ramp.

Walls are paper-thin so enjoy your neighbors.
