Hubby and I both smoke. In Rockford 4 nights for businss and this was the only place I could find a smoking room. In retrospect, getting dressed and going outside to smoke would have been preferable.
This is now our 3rd nite and we have yet to see any housekeeping. Two trash cans are full and all towels have been used to mop up the water leak under the sink. Which is ironic, since the sink takes forever and a day to drain. Don't leave the water on while you wash you face! Was going to call the front desk but (surprise) the phone does't work either. We can have heat, we can have A/C, but we can't have just fan because (surprise) it doesn't work. Not a shelf or a drawer in the room - mattress on a footed board with no box springs. Half of a round table bolted to the wall right under the TV, so no TV dinners here. No micro or fridge and the only ice machine is half a mile away at the office. Outlet at the sink doesn't work, so don't plan on drying hair or charging a razor. Some of the other outlets don't work as well - you just have to shop around until you find a working one, and then set whatever you are pluggin in on the dirty floor. It's possible it has been mopped in this century, but highly doubtful. And with water coming from under the sink, you have to take your socks off or leave your shoes on.
We travel for business a lot, and we're not picky. We've stayed in places that may have one of these problems or another of these problems, but NEVER have we stayed in a place with ALL of these problems.
