Only spent one night at Morrison House while in town for work. It’s an ok place to stay. The hotel is beautiful and really has an old world ambiance. Valet parking only but they were responsive when I wanted my car. The location is fantastic! Just a block off King Street, so easy walk to tons of restaurants and shops. The room was nice and had both a desk and chair and two comfy chairs with a table. One real negative is the lack of open outlets in the room. Bathroom was very nice and modern with a shower only, no tub (at least I my room), which was fine. As a Marriott rewards member, I was a little disappointed to not have a lounge but the hotel does have a bar and restaurant. It offers delivery-to-room meal service with a limited but varied menu. Also, the hotel has no gym. You have to go to another hotel to use their gym. It is a per friendly hotel. It is 0.7 mile walk to the King Street Metro Station. Overall it’s a decent hotel in a great location from which to explore Alexandria.

The General Manager and his staff with whom we interacted were professional, friendly, helpful and represented the Morrison House and Marriott in excellent fashion.

Morrison House is very well maintained and we felt totally comfortable staying there.

Very well located for both D.C. and Alexandria.
