Moonrise Hotel is a stylish boutique hotel where kitschy-cool decor and fun touches like florescent stairs abound. The hotel is located in “The Loop,” so it’s not near the Arch — but it is close to tons of trendy restaurants, vintage stores and unique locally owned shops. Moonrise has standard king rooms; two-room queen rooms, which are great for families; and “St. Louis Walk of Fame” suites, each of which is decorated to honor a different star from the St. Louis Walk of Fame. Connecting rooms are available.

Loved the light up stairs and the giant moon above the roof top bar. Go up top when the weather is nice and have a awesome evening under the stars.
The hotel staff are very professional, warm, and nice. Makes a huge difference when you are staying in a strange place (not your home).
The big rooms are big, but the small rooms are really small. If you are used to Europe, the small rooms will feel familiar.
I would happily stay here again, but only if I can afford the larger rooms.
The neighborhood is another matter however. It's fine during the day, and at night if you are only walking to adjacent properties or Ubers, but I am not comfortable walking the loop at night. Way too much crime in the area. If you must walk around, stay vigilant and stay in groups and nothing visible of value.

Through no fault of the hotel, our reservation had been cancelled by the booking agent. Hotel staff (Jake, Emily and one other women whose name I forget) were awesome! Rebooked us into the hotel even though extremely busy and couldn't have been more helpful. All was appreciated. Hotel location is perfect for Delmar Loop and WashU. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!
