I cannot recommend this hotel enough, the location, the rooftop pool and most importantly the amazing staff. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The views from the rooftop area are out of this world and the food and cocktails round the pool are excellent and reasonably priced. We booked 2 excursions through the hotel and both were excellent (Rio sites and football game at the Maracanã).

Unfortunately my husband was taken ill during the trip and was hospitalised but the hotel were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to support me. Special mention to Thays on reception and butler Joao who are such a credit to the hotel. We ended up staying for an additional 8 nights in order to allow my husband to recover and be well enough to fly. This meant we were there for his birthday and the hotel surprised us with a chocolate cake, so thoughtful.

If you’re going to Rio, you have to stay at this hotel!

My wife and myself had a short break to Rio - staying at the Miramar hotel. The trip started off fantastically well - with one of the hotel driver’s Wolfgrand greeting us at the airport and ensuring we arrived at the hotel safely.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel stay and our time in Rio. However most of this is attributed to Wolfgrand the driver who educated us, entertained us and highlighted the best of Rio. We travel enormously, so we have sampled good food and service - but we came across a few magical places all due to the driver.

The hotel was pleasant, safe and in a great location - the location is unique with a mixture of Rio all within feet’s of the hotel. We started our trip with Wolfgrand and it ended with him. Well done Miramar hotel, great hotel and asset.... Wolfgrand - if you meet him, get him to tour you around Rio and uncover the marvels of Rio.
