Normally a fan

My daughter is now a senior at WMU and this property has been my go to all four years. This last visit was truly disappointing. My bathroom was clearly not cleaned and the morning manager indicated that that they were only at 20% capacity yet I had people on both sides of me and above me. Not at all interested in my concerns

Clean, friendly, cozy

We had to come to the Kalamazoo area to deal with a family issue. We hesitated about whether to spend a bit more for one of the competing hotels, but decided to stay at the Microtel, as it was just for one night and the location was right for us.

Really good call. The room was clean and cozy (yes, I mean small, but it didn't feel cramped.) Every person on the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful. Just an unexpectedly good experience

We will definitely stay here again.
