I was traveling alone, it was late, and I had been driving after dark on Highway 65 in the rain. I'm so glad I stopped here. In addition to a very affordable room that was perfect for me, there was an Applebee's across the street that stayed open until 2 a.m. I had the salmon and green beans, and a nice glass of wine. Remember they call it MICROtel for a reason (it's a tiny room), the bed was great, the room was clean, there was everything I needed including coffee and a hairdryer (and an iron/ironing board and a closet, but I didn't need that) and a big padded window seat. I was very satisfied.

For just a stop-over hotel on our way to the beach, it was okay. There were things that were dated, but mostly clean. My biggest complaint is the hair I found in my bed. (See picture.) If it weren’t for that, I would have slept a lot easier. I know it’s hard for the cleaning staff to check every detail, but please please please, for everyone’s peace of mind, AT LEAST make sure the bedding is free of pubes! ????
