These clean and comfortable rooms are an ideal option for families looking for a budget hotel during their stay in El Paso. Their oversized family suites can hold a big family on two queen beds and a sleeper sofa. Suites also contain a kitchenette, with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, free shuttle to local attractions, and a free continental breakfast. If your kids can live without a pool, you’ll save enough money to visit a local water park.
The Microtel Inn is located directly across from the El Paso Airport. You can walk across the terminal parking lot, ride a free shuttle, or grab a rental car behind the hotel. There are several family-friendly restaurants along the street. As you walk, stop for a photo at the world’s largest bronze equestrian statue outside the entrance to the airport. Area attractions are mostly within a few miles of the hotel. Downtown El Paso, with its incredible museums and trendy restaurants, is 7 miles away, while the world-class El Paso Zoo is less than 5 miles away. The city is sandwiched between two spectacular state parks. East of town, Hueco Tanks State Park has kid-friendly hiking trails that lead to ancient pictographs. West of town, Franklin Mountains State Park offers incredible views of the city, the Rio Grande River, and across the border into Mexico. For a budget-conscious family looking for a comfortable and contemporary place to stay during your vacation, the Microtel Inn is a great choice.

Accepting the fact the hotel was under construction, I was disappointed in the room, which I believe was completed and void of further activity. Lighting was either on or off with no secondary lighting available. Mirrored walls were somewhat freakish and uncomfortable. Beds were not comfortable compared to other hotels I have used. Breakfast was sparse and marginal. The staff, however, did a very good job under the circumstances. Maybe the hotel should not be open at the same time as construction is taking place. Cost to comfort ration was quite low!

Walls in the room are very thin. Could hear the people next door and their TV and talking and then later then got busy with sex and I heard that too. Not pleasant. Check in was okay but it's currently in a room because the lobby and some room are being remodeled and the hotel will become a Best Western in Feb 2020, so I was told.
