We stayed in the Honeymoon Villa, no 7 of 10 villas at Mayaloka and could not be happier. The level of professionalism and hospitality shown by all staff has been outstanding. The many small touches of service were greatly appreciated like evening turndown service that included the lighting of insect coils and tea light lanterns around the pool and walkway. The scented flowers at the sink of the outdoor bathroom was another.
Our airport pickup went smoothly with a well presented driver and vehicle. As we set off, we were offered a refreshing scented cool towel and water. At our request, he even found a reputable money changer enroute to the villa.
The villa grounds are expansive, very private and well kept, as is the pool that receives plenty of sunlight throughout the day, as well as a daily cleanup of frangipani flowers. The sound of running water from the water feature at one end created a tranquil ambiance.
The included breakfast is brought to the villa at a time chosen by us and is set out on the table in the pavilion - another very nice touch. The Balinese breakfast was our favourite.
The location of Mayaloka just north of the central Seminyak area meant that we experienced a more authentic Balinese holiday. Away from the westernized and overpriced cafes and restaurants, we found local Warungs and businesses to support that offered amazing food and flavours at very reasonable prices. Warung Jembung across the road was a standout.
We cannot recommend Mayaloka Villas highly enough. Thank you for a truly enjoyable and relaxing stay.
