Located in the Port Royal Plantation neighborhood of Hilton Head, this beachfront hotel is only steps from the beach. After a day in the sand, families can continue the fun at either the outdoor or the indoor pool. The large heated outdoor pool offers lots of surrounding lounge chairs for the adults to relax in while the kids swim and splash. The indoor pool is great for the occasional rainy day. Several bike trails and golf course are also situated near the hotel. The comfortable guestrooms and villas feature oceanfront views, separate living room areas with a sleeper sofa and a dining area. A fully equipped kitchen offers a full size refrigerator, microwave, sink, stovetop, dishwasher and washer and dryer. Free Wi-Fi is available in all of the villas as well. A few onsite dining options for breakfast, lunch and dinner are also available to guests.

We are MVC owners and love Hilton head. We were in the gardenia building which at first I was upset about because it was separated from the main area by the Westin. However, we had our own heated pool and hot tub and splash pad by our building and it was never busy. Our kids loved playing ping pong and football and they tried to vary locations of activities such as bingo and s’mores so it was at our building several days. Also they always have the golf carts to drive you in the property for free if you prefer and steve was absolutely lovely. I enjoyed the drinks at the bar on site and used the fitness room every day. I love the location as we used the shelter cove area a lot. We had an issue with my daughter getting sick in the middle of the night and they sent someone up with sheets and towels within 10 minutes and even checked the next day to see how she was feeling. They were fixing the elevator and doing landscaping while we were here but gave us a heads up with a call and email and did not disturb us at all. Many have complained about tidying but I have never had daily cleanings at any MVC. I find that standard and they were very up front giving me a list of all optimal tidy services and costs and when I called to book it they reiterated the cost. We had a great time. I liked the grande ocean too but have no issues with either and we will be back !

The weather was inclement a couple of days during our recent stay at the Barony Beach club and we took the tours to Bluffton and Savanna. I just wanted to put in a word about the tour guide Nettie Williams. This lovely woman made us feel at home in a place we'd never seen before. The tours were great and made a great soup out of the rainy weather. Thanks, Nettie.
