Nice clean comfortable rooms. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance. Not far from the Arch and the river cruise. Friendly staff. Food was good in the in house restaurant, however service a little slow.

As a traveling management consultant, I am on the road all the time and have achieved Ambassador Elite in the Marriott loyalty program, staying 194 nights at Marriott properties so far this year. I truly expected much much more from Marriott than I experienced. This hotel is in a sketchy area and has sketchy staff.
My maid knocked on my door at 2:30 in the afternoon while I was on a conference call to ask if I wanted her to clean my room. I said yes and continued my call. After my call, I discovered MY WALLET (which was sitting on the bed) WAS STOLEN FROM MY ROOM BY THE MAID.
I called hotel security immediately as well as the housekeeping supervisor, who said this is the unpleasant part of his job. Apparently, this is not a new occurrence at this property. Long story short, they did not find my wallet and, of course, Shaunay the maid (who was a TEMP employee) denied that she stole it.
This hotel is on the edge of the sketchy part of St Louis AND, apparently, they are hiring sketchy staff to clean rooms as well.
I asked if the housekeeper would be back in my room. They said they would make sure she didn't have access to my room on the following day. I asked if she will be in the rooms of others and management said "yes."
So, after spending hours calling credit card companies and cancelling credit cards, filing a police report, reporting my driver's license as stolen, changing my credit card number with numerous companies (thankfully i had a back-up) with Lyft, Marriott, American Airlines, United, Hertz, Enterprise, Southwest Airlines, and more .....
Two days later I checked out and asked the manager to give me a $300 discount on my room (the amount of cash that was stolen and the $90 for a new wallet) and they flatly denied to give me a discount. I did not get a drink coupon. I did not get a free meal.... Nothing. Great customer service, eh!?
DO NOT STAY HERE!
