Families visiting Jerusalem have a unique opportunity to enjoy the culture and history of one of the oldest cities in the world. The area also offers guests plenty of chances for adventure. The Mamilla Hotel boasts a prime location in the middle of the excitement, and spacious guestrooms can accommodate five guests. Each room comes complete with Egyptian cotton sheets, flat screen televisions, private bathrooms and air-conditioning. The three onsite restaurants serve a variety of Kosher, local and internationally inspired meals. Kids will enjoy a day trip to the Dead Sea, while parents can spend time in the Turkish bath. The nearby Western Wall and Old City also come highly recommended.

I brought a group of 14 on a getaway from the office to the spa and had a great experience. We were received very warmly by the receptionists and given drinks and snacks, and the list of treatments was well organized and managed efficiently. Anyone waiting in between treatments had great options to use other spa facilities, including pool and gym. Anyone waiting in the waiting room was served drinks by the staff and every request was answered immediately. The staff were very welcoming and warm, and the service was excellent. The treatments were also of the highest quality and the entire group was very satisfied and marked the spa as the highlight of the day.
I will definitely bring more groups in the future... the spa is wonderful and the service excellent!

I really wanted to love the Mamilla hotel, but i just couldn’t. I have stayed at many in the “Leading Hotels of the World” group and Mamilla just doesn’t cut it.
I had a king studio which had quite possibly the most cramped toilet/sinks bathroom situation I have seen...and then a huge shower/tub area. The bed was incredibly low to the ground - no bed springs - more like the height of a futon. Not to mention the entire bathroom is clear glass so not ideal if you are traveling with someone. There is a switch to turn the glass opaque but it only made the glass about 20% opaque. Any light from the bathroom was not going to be blocked.
Overall the room was super clean, just odd.
The concierge was super responsive but they outsource any car services to a 3rd party that was just a giant rip off. $400 for a car for 8 hours and it doesn’t include a bottle of water? And I had to wait for the driver to smoke an entire cigarette because he had just lit up while I was walking out. Not what I expect for quality from an alleged 5 star hotel - I know it is outsourced but they recommend it. I would have had no issue with the price had it been a quality experience.
The rooftop restaurant has an amazing view - food is fine - but despite seeming to have an abundance of employees milling about I was always having to spend 5+ minutes to finally flag down a waiter for a second glass of wine or the check. Same goes for breakfast which is a buffet - but it took asking several times every time I wanted a refill on tea or sparkling water.
The spa was just terrible - I will write a separate review for that.
Front door staff - even when I was lugging a suitcase and there were 3 employees standing out front, no one would open the door for me. Again - I expect more from an (alleged) 5 star hotel.
The thing taking it to a 4 star rating vs a 3 star rating was 1) the front desk team who were incredibly friendly and helpful and 2) the location. Located right outside of Jaffa gate the location was perfect.
